Course Corner:
By Jeff Arnold & Steve Stobaugh - Owners, Big Sugar Golf Club

It's time to start thinking about getting those clubs dusted off and play some golf. If you're thinking about regripping your clubs, let us help you with that in our Pro-Shop. We can get any kind of grip you need.

Some of you may have noticed we are now using a new POS software in our clubhouse called Teesnap. This should allow us to serve our customers more effeciently. The Pro-Shop staff will be collecting information from you in an attempt to speed up check-ins, and keep you updated with information about the golf course via email.

The grounds crew has worked all winter trimming trees & cutting brush to make the course more enjoyable. They do a great job for us. We think you will notice a big improvement. Warm weather is on the way, we look forward to seeing all of you.

Thank You,

Jeff Arnold & Steve Stobaugh

Pro Tip of the Month:
By Jeremiah Allen - Club Pro, Big Sugar Golf Club

Proper Pre-Round Warm Up Routine:

Symptoms:

Too many times your round doesn't take its true form until hole #5 or even worse, the back nine. Most of the time it is because we didn't warm up properly or even worse... not at all.

Cure:

Taking 15 minutes before the round to properly prepare the body & mind will undoubtedly help your game. Take 5 minutes and start your routine on the putting green from different distances to get a feel for the green and speed. Next, get your wedge and hit a few chips from just off the edge of the green. After that, take 20 to 25 balls to the range to hit. Stretch for a bit to help guard yourself from injury. Hit the balls with the intent of loosening up, not to fix or work on your swing. Golf is a game that can't be played at a high level with too many things on your mind, especially swing-related mechanics.

Try these things before your next round and watch your scores lower.
